Solvorn is a picturesque village with small wooden houses and narrow alleys. When walking down the main street with buildings form 17th and 18th century, you can study the architecture styles from different periods.
Until 1960’s Solvorn used to be a busy village, with boat connection to Bergen and other districts. The farmers used to deliver butter and cheese once a week, transported further to Bergen. Today Solvorn is a more “sleepy village”, but a visit is recommended. You may walk the alleys on you own and visit the famous Gallery Walaker, close to Walaker Historic hotel.
